I have three horses, three chickens, one elderly terrier cross and a husband.
I hate this time of year because the field where I keep my horses gets so wet and muddy, being clay soil. Jobs like poo-picking take so long, and struggling through the mud with a full barrow is not so funny.
We’re starting to give the horses more grass this time of the year. We grow our own hay so the grass has been growing since hay-making in June so is getting quite long and brown looking.
